• Using Moodle

Finally, a way to move your files between home and school.

This is your site for transferring files from school to home and back again. You can set up a Moodle account here in school. This will allow you to send a file from school or home and back, much as you would an email attachment. You do not need an email address to do this.

    File Sharing

To use iCampus to work on a project at home and in school, you need to upload your file to iCampus.  When you are ready to work on it, SAVE it on your computer at home and then open and work on the saved copy.  When you are done working, you must save your changes and upload the document again.  To work on it at school, you need to save it and open it.

    Step by Step Instructions:

    • Make sure you have saved the file you want to transfer to your harddrive. (H: drive at school)
    • Go to: http://galileo.dcboces.org/icampus/course/category.php?id=9 (SEE LINK BELOW)
    • Scroll down to Arlington: VFES Library
    • Login using your school ID and password. (The same way you log in to a computer when you are at school.)
    • Click on Save Files Here or Save Multiple Files Here
    • Click on Browse. Highlight the file you want to attach and click on Open. If you are at school, the file should be under your name on the H:drive. If the computer takes you to the desktop, scroll down to "My Files Drive H."
    • Click on Upload this File.
    • If you choose "Save one file at a time" you can save only one file at a time. When you upload a second file, the first is deleted. This is a good choice if you are editing or adding to a file.
    • If you choose "Save multiple files at a time" you will be able to save more than one file. This is a good choice if you're saving more than one file for a project.
    • Don't forget to logout when you are done.
    • Pay attention so that you don't overwrite files unless you really want to. If you're working on a large project that needs more than one file, use the Multiple Files section.  This is where you can save your social studies essay, your social studies PowerPoint, and your social studies works cited page together.  It's very handy!
