Mr. Chris Slattery

"Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of minds to think."

"Do not worry about your difficulties in mathematics. I can assure you that mine a far greater."

~Albert Einstein

I graduated from Arlington High School in 1998. I earned my Bachelor's of Arts and Master's of Science degrees from Canisius College, located in Buffalo, NY. I returned to Dutchess County and have been part of the Arlington Central School District in a variety of positions. I was a substitute teacher, advisor for the drama club, tech crew, & math counts team. I am also involved in the Arlington Athletics program.

I coached cross country and track & field at Arlington MS. In addition, I assist with the wrestling team at Arlington High School during the winter. In 2007, I became the "Voice of the Arlington Admirals." I am the announcer for many of the sports games, contests, and championships throughout the school year at Arlington High School and throughout Section One.

I began working at Arlington Middle School in 2007 along with Mrs. T. DiCorcia, Ms. L. DiStefano, Mr. J. Healy, and Mrs. A. Sosnick on Team 5. Each year was a great experience for all of us. In the spring of 2014, AMS closed its doors as a middle school. Beginning in the fall of 2014, I joined the staff at LaGrange Middle School with a new team.

For the 2021-2022 school year, I am the mathematics teacher on team 8.  This is my fifteenth year of teaching. Also teaching on Team 8 are TBA (Mathematics), Mr. J. Borle & Mr. K. Walsh, (science), Mrs. C. Cowburn & Mrs. E. Dyke (English), and Mr. V. Minutolo & Mr. R. Jarvis (social studies).  We looking forward to exciting and fun-filled school year working with each other as well as with our new students.
