Welcome to the AHS World Languages Department.
Anne Cordella, District Coordinator, 845-486-4860 ext. 32204The World Languages Department offers courses from level 1 (novice) through AP 5 (advanced placement) in French, Italian and Spanish. Our educators have lived and studied in various parts of the world. Our AP 5 courses (3 credits) are also concurrent with Dutchess Community College courses 201 and 202 (6 credits). Additionally, we are proud to offer Spanish for Native and Heritage Speakers at AHS. Finally, students are afforded the opportunity to travel on school-sponsored international trips to various target language countries as a culmination of their hard work and dedication to their language studies.
