Mr. John Orcutt-Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
Mr. Orcutt held the position of Arlington Director of Secondary Operations from 2022-2024. He served as the Executive Principal at Arlington High School from 2020 - 2022. Prior to coming to Arlington, Mr. Orcutt was a House Principal for two years and an Assistant Principal for seven years at White Plains High School. He taught social studies at New Paltz High School. Mr. Orcutt studied at SUNY Cortland where he earned a dual BA in Anthropology and Secondary Social Studies Education with a minor in History and Master's Degree in Social Studies Education with a minor in History. He earned his Certificate of Advanced Study in School District and Building Leadership at SUNY New Paltz.

- Oversees the Homeschooling Program Districtwide
- Oversees Library Media Services Districtwide
- Plans and Implements the districtwide RTI/MTSS program. Supervises all Academic Intervention Services (AIS)
- Oversees the new teacher induction and mentoring program
- Coordinator for iReady and Performance Matters Assessment services. Liaise with the Director of Data Services on all Data analytics projects.
- Supports the planning and hiring process for summer school programs
Dr. Contes' experience as a data-driven leader in his roles as Building Principal, Technology Director, and Teacher helps drive his multifaceted role and the development of the district's MTSS/RTI program (K-12).
Dr. Contes has served as a high school principal and assistant principal for the NYC Department of Education since 2014. He previously served as an assistant principal at Poughkeepsie High School from 2007 to 2014. Dr. Contes taught in NYC schools for more than 12 years. He has a B.S. in Occupational Education from CUNY, NYC College of Technology, and M.S. in Education Administration from CUNY, The City College of NY, and a D.P.S. in Computing Studies from Pace University.

Jennifer Hammond-King-Director of Elementary Operations-Grades PreK-5

- Supervises all district department coordinators that work with the elementary schools
- Oversees the Universal PreKindergarten Program
- Coordinates curriculum review process, and implementation of new standards at the elementary level.
- Supports elementary building administrators in development and implementation of goals related to the district and board priorities.
- Approving professional learning and curriculum development/planning grades Prek-5. Including frontline approvals.
Prior to joining the Arlington team in May, 2023, Jennifer served as the District Coordinator of Literacy K-6, Pre-Kindergarten and Testing in the White Plains City School District ffor 11 years. Prior to her central office administrative role, Jennifer served as an elementary teacher and reading specialist for 20 years in the Rhinebeck, Warwick, and Beacon school districts. Jennifer has a Bachelors in Psychology and Elementary Education from Vassar College, a Masters in Reading from NYU and a Post Master's Certificate in School Leadership from SUNY New Paltz. She is a lifelong Dutchess County resident. She and her husband, Anthony, reside in Millbrook and have three young adult children. Jennifer enjoys gardening, baking, taking care of her three dachshunds, and performing in church and community choirs.
