• Accelerated Studio Art (earn .5 HS credit) *Application

    Accelerated Studio Art serves as the first half of the High School Studio in Art foundation course, providing students with a strong foundation in traditional art techniques. This course emphasizes hands-on creation, allowing students to explore a variety of artistic media with a primary focus on drawing and painting.

    Students will create diverse works, including portraits, landscapes, still life, and imaginative compositions. In addition to developing technical skills, they will engage in critiques to refine their artistic voice and maintain a notebook/sketchbook to document their creative journey.

    This course is ideal for students looking to build a strong artistic portfolio and continue advanced art studies in high school.

     

    Accelerated Computer Graphics (earn .5 HS credit) *Application

    This course is the first half of the High School Computer Graphics foundation program, introducing students to digital art and design. Using Apple Mac computers, iPads, green screens, and Adobe Photoshop, students develop skills in digital illustration, image manipulation, and creative problem-solving. Through hands-on projects, they explore key techniques in composition, visual storytelling, and graphic design, preparing for advanced high school courses.
